Life...Unscripted

I don't know whether to laugh or cry...reading through some old diary entries, I found that March of last year I was 3 pounds less than where I am now. It's frustrating to think that had I stuck it out, and not lost my way, I'd be at my goal weight by now...plllhhh!

It's non productive to cry, so I just sighed, shook my head, and renewed my commitment to keep on "keeping on." Remember that old phrase from the 70's? Perhaps it's been around much longer, who knows, but that's when I first heard of it.

So...what am I doing now, you might ask? I'm using Weight Watcher's Points Plus plan that some dear person shared with those of us who cannot afford their dues, by placing it on the 'net. God bless them!

I love this plan. More points, and veggies and fruits are "free!" Who wouldn't love that? I have always loved to eat fruit, but hated to "waste" my points on them when other things could be eaten. Now, I can "have my cake" and eat it too! Figuratively speaking, of course. I can, however, really have cake, but I prefer to save it for special occasions! lol

INSPIRATION BY DEFINITION...

Inspiration (1) is defined as follows:

c.1303, "immediate influence of God or a god," especially that under which the holy books were written, from O.Fr. inspiration, from L.L. inspirationem (nom. inspiratio), from L. inspiratus, pp. of inspirare "inspire, inflame, blow into," from in-"in" + spirare "to breathe" (see spirit). Inspire in this sense is c.1340, from O.Fr. enspirer, from L. inspirare, a loan-transl. of Gk. pnein in the Bible. General sense of "influence or animate with an idea or purpose" is from 1390. Inspirational is 1839 as "influenced by inspiration;" 1884 as "tending to inspire."

Another, more simplistic definition is "The inhalation of air into the lungs" (2)

I like the second one best. As God is a Spirit, and as He breathed the breath of life into each of us the moment we were created, I can envision how He speaks to each of us in our lives. There are times when I'm so frustrated that I can't do more, or that something isn't going the way I expected or hoped it would, God will inspire me when I seek His face. I will see something from a totally new perspective, or something will happen to make me see that I don't have to worry about it, He's "got it". Like a child who knows her father and mother loved her, I know that God is working out what is best for me, even if I can't see it. His inspiration moves others as well as myself, so I know that no matter what, He is in control. That being said, however, it is also important to note that inspiration, which is spiritual in nature, can be from an evil source as well. It is so very typical of satan to take what God has created and to warp it into a perversion that mocks creation and furthers his agenda, which is to keep people from seeing the Truth.
